grey skies & grey hearts

the skies fill up
they slowly turn grey
ready to strike black
they cry out
and their tears fall
the seas swell
and the whole world weeps
the wind whispers prays
the sea blows love
the sand ripples emotion
the trees shake with worry
our grey hearts go out to those who die
millions of innocent lives destroyed
mothers killed
fathers
daughters
sons
nans
granddads
.....the list goes on
the family of god
OUR people
different outside...who cares
we are all the same
who cares about the colour of someone's skin
hey,we want a sun tan bad enough
they are the same as us inside
our heart feels and so does there's
they feel
they are us
people
THEY ARENT DIFFERENT
if you call skin colour different
then so be it....
but as their blood touches the ground
the earth shakes
and it mourns
for its people
have just been slaughtered
grey skies fill up and grey hearts mourn
