I’ve been a father
I’ve been a son
I’ve been a rebel
On the run

Been an abuser
I’ve been abused
And I’ve been here
For you to use

I’ve been lost
I’ve been found
I’ve been up and
I’ve been down

I’ve been waiting
All my life
For this moment
To arrive

Who and what
And where am I
Today
Can you tell me
When it was
I lost my way
I thought it was my life to live
And my will to give
And my soul was gonna be saved
But now I’m standing at the edge of heaven
On the wrong side of the gate

I’ve been wrong
I’ve been right
Been a fighter
Most of my life

Been an accuser
I’ve been accused
And often wondered
What’s the use

I’ve climbed mountains
Been shot down
Wrestled my demons on
Holy ground

I’ve lived in darkness
Sought out The Light
And here I find my
Self tonight

Who and what
And where am I
Today
Can you tell me
When it was

I thought it was my life to live
