My love and hate now run parallel
The love was so real and so strong
The hate is now only for myself
For all I must have done wrong.
A dozen more letters I’ve written
But I promised you I wouldn’t send
I know you want me to leave you alone
I respect you even now as we end.

I only wished we could have met
Before you’re decision to leave
You left me feeling like nothing
With nothing left to believe.
I know your heart was elsewhere
And you might have lost your way
But why did you let me fall for you
Only to just Push Me Away?

You’re right, it wasn’t fair to me
But you know you were cheated too
You’ll never find a love so right
This might have been fate telling you.
I understand how you must feel
Don’t think I haven’t been there before
The confusion and wonder about past love
Even knowing it’s lost ever more.

I still can’t take down your pictures
Or throw out the mail that you sent
It will always be in my memory
How can’t it with all that you meant?
I have no choice but to move on
Few words even left to say
Just explain why you let me fall for you
Only to just Push Me Away?

I’m confused, and lost, and lonely
I found what I thought could be
The love to end all love times
Now you’re gone, but fantasy free.
This hell, I’ll always remember
This agony, day after day
How could you let me fall for you
Only to just Push Me Away?

I can forgive you for your reasons
But I just can’t beg you to stay
I can’t be in a love all by myself
Letting go is the only way.
I cannot want you forever
I know I meant nothing each day
Then why did you let me fall for you
Only to just Push me Away?

I will try to hold on to something
I’ll need some help to survive
My friends, they will stand beside me
And try to keep some of my soul alive.
I know it might be too late
There’s nothing left I can say
I’ll never know why you let me fall
Only to just Push Me Away.
