I’ve been trying to get over you
Something’s changed
I’m not crying getting over you
What is it?
My friends are here to see me through
That’s It
Now I’m realizing more every day
How come?
It hurt, more to love you, then to love you
That’s it
Now they say I’m better off without you
Why is that?
I think now I’m ready, to get over you
That’s It
It’s time to look to brighter days
Could it be?
The sun is out to guide my way
That’s It.
You must have been right all along
Is it true?
I’m still OK now that you’re gone
That’s It
I guess I really fooled myself
But why?
I thought I knew you all that time
That’s It
I really didn’t know you at all
Did I try?
Yes, I tried much too hard to love
That’s It
I thought you felt it in you too
Did you lie?
Not to me, but to yourself you did
That’s It
It doesn’t matter at all anymore
You know?
I’m glad it’s all ended just in time
That’s It
Time to find someone who’s right
So soon?
She has been here all this time
That’s it

Maybe I was just to blind to see
Did I know?
That she was here caring for me
That’s It
Now the future’s looking fine
May it be?
Love has been here all this time
That’s It
Now it’s finally caught up with me
Did I know?
Now I’m almost over you now
Do you believe?
That’s the power of fate and love
That’s It
I’m finding happiness once again
Is it real?
My fate has been my faith and path
That’s It
Now I say goodbye one last time
That OK?
So you know, I will be more than fine
That’s It
If you read this, glad you took the time
But why?
Thought you wanted me off your mind
That’s It
I wish you well, hope you are happy too
Do I?
Honestly, I care and always will
That’s It
If you feel like it, say hi sometime
Will you?
I don’t want you as my enemy
That’s It
Maybe we can be friends after all
Think so?
I will leave it up to you to decide
That’s It
Though it’s over, I won’t forget you
You see?
You helped me want to write again
That’s It
I still thank you for that gratefully
