The mask that gets me through another day
This mask is made of everything
People want to see
My mask has a smile
It has a sparkle in its eye
And it has the look of innocence on it
This mask covers up my face
My face has no sparkle in its eyes
It has no smile
It no look off innocence on it
My face is the face no one wants to see
My face has teary eyes
It has bitten lips
And a look off a broken soul on it
My face is made of every lie
Every curse, every put down, and every joke
My face is the face that no one wants to see
So I put on a mask
The mask that gets me through another day…….

I put on a mask
The mask that gets me through another day
This mask is made of everything
People want to see
My mask has a smile
