Opportunity

You can be anything you want to be
Determination is the key
Set your goals extremely high
Never stop reaching for the sky

Hard work and a will of steel
In life, will seal the deal
You’re never too young to make a stand
The eager beaver makes a plan

Competition will always be stiff
But a strong leader will never say, if
Dream out loud and dream big
Put your nose to the dirt and dig

This is my advice to you, my dearest son
Given opportunity, never turn and run
Breaks aren’t given, they are made
And I hope they come to you in spade

As your father, I have dreams for you
And I pray each day that they’d come true
But so much will be determined on your soul
So to put God first should be your goal

But no matter how you turn out to be
Know that self-love is the key
I’ll always be proud of you, no matter what
Unconditional love, doesn’t come with a but
