I am important don’t you know
Everyone should pay attention to me
I am a small animal that loves to eat mice
But bigger creatures have run in fear at the sight of me
I have been called many names
You will remember me when I tell you who I am
I am that road kill that cross the road in front of your car
80 miles down the road you still remember me
For I sprayed underneath your car when you ran over me
I am that skunk whose presence you long to miss
Don’t come too close or you will hear and smell my spray
From town drunks to Mayors and even the President
Will yield a wide path when they catch sight of me
I once cleaned out a room by my appearance
People jumping out the windows and the doors
Come on a little closer please…come smell my sweet perfume
