Prolixity

Fatigued by the muscle of thy twisting tongue
Stabbed in the dorsum with your venomous tittle-tattle
Tiny flakes heap up into a monstrous snowball ready on the hung
This is the engagement of the perpetual battle
Dialogue’s trickling adrift,
Cloak-and-dagger style
Soon be doing a 360 degree swift
Picking up, ready to dial
Inventor Alexander Graham Bell
Liable for the infamous newsmonger
Thy ear partaking in this rascally spell
Reeling you into this circle with falsity and ponder
This is the world of verbal abuse
Sinners we are, at least we did it once
It’s in the papers; it’s called the “news”
Spreading like a plague, then and nonce
Trapped in this dishonorable web
Victim of this inclement black widow
She’s ‘cruel, better watch your step
Stay in the shadow; camouflage yourself, you know, like a doe
What could be the cause of such fabrication?
Boredom might be the key?
Get the facts, stop this infuriation
“Gossip”, the victim you do not want to be
