Our Winter
Date: Saturday, 2nd April 2005 @ 02:43:32 AM AEST Topic: Sad Poetry
Contributed By: heartwaypastbeating
as we sat in your car
and stared at those pictures
your ill-tempered voice
was being drowned out
by a flood of broken memories
we were always dreaming
thinking we could
outrun aeroplanes
well maybe we could have
yea, im sure we could have
our faces jumped out
of those glossy 3x5''s
our smiles weren't painted
they tell stories of that perfect winter
we were always wishing
believing time would
never run out
well maybe it wouldn't have
yea, I think it won't
I would have given you every season
but all you wanted was our winter
