Merciful are the Exonerated Heathens

Don’t give up on the day
The foggy morning drifts away
Push on through till afternoon
The precious night reveals its moon
Don’t stand so cautiously afraid
Your shoulders tucked beneath their blade
A windy gust rips the shade
The forbidden word of the page
Swift, precise retaliation
On the precept of humanity
In the moments of brief clarity
In the darkness in back of me
Vacated are the ideologies
That beckons mortality
To diminish in its longevity
And surrender quietly, peacefully
Fight back tomorrow
The dreary glow grows hollow
In the river of ever flowing sorrow
Don’t give up on the hopes that follow
A sacrificial offering of land
A monumental plotting of a plan
The disintegration of command
The chain and links of the demand
Colorless rainbows appear
The rain drops glisten crystal clear
Muddy waters overflow the banks
The creaky shaft- pipe perpetually cranks
Spew out the wasteful taste
Neurons sparking swift paced
The day long race, rotates
The night long heat penetrates
Barbaric rights of passage
Ritualistic fights of carnage
The antithesis of a shortage
Plentiful is day and its voyage
Plentiful are the seasons
And their God-awful treasons
Shedding leaves without reasons
Merciful are the exonerated heathens
