I've Yet To Find The Answer

I've yet to find the answer
to the questions in my mind
I can't resist the power of
poetry, it draws me near
Like a warm, cozy fireplace
so comfy just to sit
Soft music, a cold drink, a
pen I hope full of ink
Always making sure there is a
pad of paper near
Never knowing when something
is gonna hit me like a brick
For even I don't know what it is
that will unfold before my eyes
But I will pen my final line I
see, oh so clearly then
Inspiration may strike me as I
sleep or while I'm driving
It's so exciting to feel another
poem surfacing as I smile
A scene, a picture, a window
which you can peek at
How you'll react, what you'll
think? I will have to wait
For my poetry is also my guide
on my journey thru life
There's high's, there's lows on
this road full of potholes
