I am quick to confess to you
Multi-talented? no
Gifted in abilities to bragI wish I had more to show

But poetry is my passion and
as each line is read
Perhaps they'll touch your
heart at what I've said

I celebrate the magical high
that comes from being loved
And when two hearts collide
both fit like hand in glove

They crave the other's company
they long for their sigh
Which comes from the pleasure
a lover won't deny

I celebrate every poet reading
what I share and feel
I invite you now to look inside
and remove the peel

Every poem has a message although
it isn't always clear
But to you and I the poet, we know
that every poem is dear
