Morbid Thoughts

Sharks circling, swimming in my lake
(don't know how much more of this I can take)
A silence so obscure you could drop a pin
the sun has set, please take me in
Too much company yet still lonely
as I sit here and weep thinking "If only..."
The violin plays its tragic song
tense situation, I'm trying to stay strong
A heart growing distant; yet still an echo
growing tension constricts airflow
I'm writing this with blurred eyes...no lies
mask stripped off, reveals a disguise
A warm embrace reaching out to touch...
hands fumbling, struggling to clutch
Clouds parting; sun fighting to breakthrough
today I'm all decked out in blue....
wearing my Yanks cap (just for you).
