Road Poem #2
Date: Wednesday, 1st June 2005 @ 04:06:38 PM AEST Topic: Sad Poetry
Contributed By: mackenzie_strutt
Fluke of brushed suction
punctuates
a textured chrome hush
half-blind eyes rotate,
elevate,
to record elements of
monotone asphalt dialect,
a static white stylus of bulk haulage.
Infinite lanes intersect infinite silos
Where hazard ravens clutch at thatched misery
Deposits their genesis, to the pithy
Clinging stem of vanity
Doom...harvests within the trigger sapling
Blooms in the bark
Flowers and fruits in screaming metal
Whilst she basks in the waning comfort of kerosene
