Lying awake
It’s getting late, I’m not really restless only sleepless
I never tire I have too much of you in me
I close my eyes and I see
An image of you and me
In the midst of your sweet surrender
In your arms where I could never hinder
I was and still am yours completely

Lying awake
It’s getting late, I’m not really restless only sleepless
I never tire I have too much of you in me
After all has died out and it is almost morning again
With my eyes closed I hear your voice echoing
Bouncing off the walls I hear you say I love you
And I say out loud I love you too

Lying awake
It’s getting late, I’m not really restless only sleepless
I never tire I have too much of you in me
The son comes up and I go to wash my face
The warm water that falls from my face to my lips
Carry the taste of you with it
And I wash my face again

Now I have the visions and sensations
Of you haunting me I feel your breath upon me
As we lay down in my bed
Shadows overcastting angels grow with envy
At the beauty that is you

Lying awake
It’s getting late, I’m not really restless only sleepless
I never tire I have too much of you in me
Taken off my cloths turned the water on
Soap off rinse off and do it over till I feel clean
All I feel is your fingers in my hair
And your hands like quicksand over my bare
Skin and I wish I had you over again

Now I have the visions and sensations
Of you haunting me I feel your breath upon me
As we lay down in my bed
Shadows overcastting angels grow with envy
At the beauty that is you

All this haunting me
Memories turn to dreams when I close my eyes
I cannot focus on anything that is not you
You are all I want in today and tomorrow
All the days after and forever
So I close my eyes and wish for you again
With more of my heart and hope than ever

And you kiss me
I feel your lips upon mine
And I am in heaven again
