Lost in Almond Eyes
One look at you and my imagination sparks
Fascinating you are in my sight
Subtly handsome and reservedly attractive
I wonder what lies beyond that face of yours
A few words spoken between us and comes my excitement
Is the thrill obvious? Can you see me blush?
I search for a smile and am lost in your almond eyes
Despite that remaining there is unwise
One look away and reality hits
This kind of torture twice a week is certainly hazardous
Mixing business with pleasure was never my intention
But give me enough time and attention
And we/'/ll have a dilemma on our hands courtesy of my invention
Can I risk another opportunity to be lost in almond eyes
Lest my priorities and intentions never again be found
I know the answer even in the midst of contemplation
And I can only thank the Lord for His mercy
For providing a way out of this situation
