All These Crashing Waves
silent moments in the dark
just your fingertips on my skin
and your breath on my face
steady heartbeat lights a spark
waves wash over me from within
as I sink into grace
and I swear to god, I try so desperately
to put everything I`m feeling into words
but nothing sounds quite right
and then we say goodnight
at times it feels we`re linked inseparably
`cause I feel so safe with you and nothing hurts
I get so overwhelmed
and so deeply compelled
to make sure you know how much this means to me
but late at night, all I`ve got
are words that just seem to fall short
of all these crashing waves
that get lost in racing thoughts
now I can`t sleep, shadows distort
static in my airwaves
so I hope you know it`s beautiful to me
I`m reveling in every single moment
and every single breath
as my soul you undress
it`s amazing how you`re breaking through to me
our roots entwined, now together we`re growing
my heart is expanding
my love, it`s outstanding
never knew I could feel it all around me
I`m not afraid of the fall
you are a warm, safe place to be
a wonderland to me
