“Tis better to love and lost…” Uttered the words of a fool.
Why try? Why did I…do I love you?
You were all that I wanted and everything that I’d need.
You were oh so beautiful, sexy, and my Nubian queen.
If you looked into my heart you’d see I’ve been wounded deep.
It’s like an old man who’s flat lining; all you hear is “beep.”
I loved you more than I loved myself, but now I’m all alone.
Just come on over and knock at the door to my heart, and you’ll see nobody’s home.

Empty, now I stand and withered complexion of a man.
Empty, like a fish without water, you just don’t understand.
Everyday has been this way it’s like going without a meal.
The pain inside as a dagger in my back, you still can’t imagine what I feel.
To try and understand me you should wake up early and read this poem from the start.
Just read it every minute of everyday and you’ll know the true pain of my heart.
