Receiving the blame
Playing your game
Being ashamed

I won't be one of those girls
Wearing your pearls
Forbidding my curls
Taking referrals

Becoming a bore
Hoping for more
Giving the grand tour
Letting you soar

So I can just sit everyday
With nothing to say
And nowhere to play
Because "it's not o.k."

You'd then leave, (to fly)
So you'd kiss me goodbye
Promising you'll try
But I'll know it's a lie

And you'll have the fun
Drinks in the sun
Calling her "hon"
While I'm carrying your bun

And then we'll hate eachother
I'll cry to my mother
You'll lie to your brother
And of course, to your lover

So now I'm saying goodbye
I can't even cry
You let out a sigh
I don't ask you why

I ignore your plea
I finally feel free
Please don't call me

A sad bitter poem I can relate to. Men are the beast that we had hoped we'd never encounter, but they're here. I love the angst filled words, and your form of expression, I wish you all the luck with plan B. I need one of those. Thanks for the insight! Joni

Yes I agree, very bitter and sad. I liked it though. Very true to life. I've felt like that before as well. Good job. Nice choice of words and great expression. Good job!
