*************************************************

Within my soul, I have a spot,
that no-one here can touch,
its a spot where I keep my sanity,
and savor all that much,
It was placed inside me long ago,
and sticks to me like glue,
Its a part that brings me happiness,
and lights me through and through,
sometimes I search its wisdom,
its' become my greatest need,
and sometimes when I'm at the bottom,
it holds me up, you see,
I never feel lonely there,
and never feel blue,
but yet, I speak it clearly,
and hand it out to you,
Its a part of me that laughs, and loves,
a part of me that smiles,
a part of me that loves to hold you,
and help you cross that mile,
Its a part of me that sings and dances,
and a part of me that cries,
but granted, I was given life,
so one day I could fly,

He helps me out through my many sorrows,
and those days that never end,
but best of all, he shows me the beauty,
of my true and treasured friends,
he guides me over those long, dark miles,
and holds my hand when I feel lost,
Oh, my dear friend,
he died for me,
we hung him on the cross,

I think in life, we're put on trial,
just like our savior was,
and tested by our every move,
down here we must learn love,

You see, my friend,
I watched him suffer,
and his blood runs through my veins,
if not for those, who touch us dearly,
Would life be worth the same?

I have read this poem many times - it is very touching. I had only just been reading Fwog's poem dedicated to your autistic son, and it reminded me how small my problems really are. You have suffered so many tragedies in life ... and it is nice to know that you have been able to find some comfort in Him .... love Jan

This is another beautiful write.
Much love to you and Nathan.

This is a very beautiful write Valerie. It makes me sit down and think where this world would be without violence. Thanx for sharing it. *S* Cynthia
