When I scratch you so
I always get so sad
When you have to go

Sometimes I wish you were fuller
But then I realize
You are so damn beautiful
In this beholder’s eyes

I am not saying you make me more good looking
To the contrary I believe
But one thing is for sure
Thanks to you, no one checks my I.D.

Some girls like you, some do not
To this I could care less
Patiently you stand firm
Wanting only me to impress

Also a fault I must admit
To keep you is less maintenance
Such things that enable lethargy
Tend to be my preference

It may be a little cliché
Considering you are my namesake
And despite your unoriginality
Your presence is not my mistake

So I plan to keep you there
‘til I can no longer bear
the wear and tear

*grins*

Ah, now here is an ode worth remembering! I know you speak truth, for I have a friend of the same caliber, and second all sentiments! Nicely done, nicely done.
