Pry your fingers off me
Let my skin breathe again
Give me back my purity

Let me go
Give me back my clothes
Let my body be mine again

Let me go
And no one will hear of this
Let me live my life again
Give me back my innocence

Let me go
I want to escape

I wrote a poem about rape, but I never experienced it. I think this poem is absolutely stunning. It's touching, also. Great write. If you need someone to talk to, just IM me, or email me.

Well done, I can feel the desperation within these few lines.

certainly isnt your best, but it still speaks to me, and that gives it quality. im not one that really cares for repetition, so thats all that irked me. you may have lost your innocence, but that shouldnt be the cause of you losing anything more, of course growth is hard, moving on is hard, forgiving is extremely hard, but all must be done, or this demon will never go away. this of course was a good poem, better than most that i read today, and its good to read poems that meet my standards. i hope that you keep struggling to finally have the future you want, and that you let the past go. ::notices that this is the most compassionate comment ever made:: =]

Hi kie-kie , I can relate to this through my wife's childhood experiences. I am not personally a lover of dark poetry, but this really caught my eye. Thanks

Colin
