Array ( [sid] => 101109 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => A Chance For Summer [time] => 2005-07-13 16:47:22 [hometext] => NEED SOME COMMENTS! LOL thanks! (Everyone who's read this so far thinks its soothing... wonder why?) [bodytext] => The chill leaves with its breeze
Then, as the sunrises
The summer outrageously starts with
vacation
heat
relaxation
the fresh smell of cut grass after a lawn is mowed
a ceased horizon that watchers see while sitting on there boat, parked afloat the water, and others back at shore are spontaneously cooled by rocky waves of the sea, a pattern
they jump in
the wave angrily lashes them back
but giggles chirpily sing, for fun has found it's way

now sitting here upon this grass, as clouds pass by, I look up, and for the first time... notice something... one represents me... and my compassion for summer... as I slowly drift into sleeping silent through the summer nights...
filled with sounds
of spring peepers
of frogs
but most of all, my most beloved song and sound ~crickets
I listen to them while at the campfire, as I watch it slowly burn down to nothing more then embers, then for a split second everything grows dark... in till the holiday fireworks start - for what season - it doesn't matter, all that matters is that its summer...

I liked your writing. You captured a great deal of the environment and relayed that information well through word. This is what writing is all about, helping someone else feel, see and understand where you are coming from and you did that quite well.

i usually don't like nature poetry, but this is so well done.. good job! some of the descriptions are a little long, but other than that, this is good.

i dont really care for the description for comments. you get some of the better comments on this site, and thats what ive noticed. i dont really care for nature, happy, etc poetry. i like poems with tragedy, so i cant say anything of the concept or topic of this one. lists, to me, are completely boring. i think a poet can always write a verse for each thing and not just list them. i especially liked your ending tone in this.
