Array ( [sid] => 101185 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Will it Ever Change [time] => 2005-07-14 15:26:17 [hometext] => i wrote this a few days ago cuz i am so mad about how i don't have a relationship with my mother that it is driving me crazy and i felt like i needed to write out what i am thinking.. [bodytext] => I sit at night and ask myself the same question.
Will we ever get along and just stop all the tension.

But i can automatically answer that and the answer is no.
But it doesn't bother me too bad i've learned to let go.

What i want just doesn't matter at all any more.
You don't know how bad i've just wanted to walk right out that door.

But it's amazing that i still put up with it and i'm still here.
The only things keeping me from leaving are friendships and fear.

I cry myself to sleep almost every night.
So hurt by the fact that not everything's alright.

All my life i have wanted just one little thing.
A relationship with her is all, but all i've gptten are bitter words that sting.

Just to have the feeling that she actually cares.
That would be great, and to feel like she's there.

But that's too much to ask for and now i am mentally drained.
I must be crazy to ever think things would change. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 184 [topic] => 6 [informant] => Kay-Kay [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => AngryPoetry )

If the title of your poem is a question, I believe things will change or at least I hope so. I am sorry to hear that it is like this between you and your mother but I am glad to know that writing helps to ease some of your pain. Keep writing.

awww man, i know how that feels.... I don't have much of a relationship with my mom at all either, so i kind of gave up on trying... it's good though because i don't have to suffer it as much. very honest writing is the very best therapy...so, thanks for sharing!

keep it up

it's harsh that you have to go through all of this, especially on your own... and i know it may not feel like it, but you are lucky to have a mother... i mean, i hate mine so much some sometimes that it kills me, but at the end of the day, i only recently found out that she's dying of cancer...

... think about it...
