Thought her blood bluer than blue
She would not know a treasure
For by her narrow field she did measure

She found a box looked of gold
Although it was haggard and old
Thinking inside she might find
Something rare of the valuable kind

But when she opened this box
After fiddling with the ancient locks
A powdery substance was there
With mouth agape all she could do was stare

To the trash she let the dirt scatter
The fairies wondered what was the matter.
With this woman on who was bestowed a great gift
Why was she making oh such a rift?

For inside what looked like rust.
Was actually a box of stardust
A truly magical and wonderful find
But this silly woman was obviously blind

To what everyone held deep inside
She looked at the world with her silly pride
Not seeing true stars all around
And the wonders that could be found

Some of us are incapable of believing in anything less than the obvious, sadly.
