Nor well off
I'm friends with poverty
And companions with sorrow
I own honesty and pride
I bask in accomplishments
No matter how small or "meaningless"
I seek truth
Hunt strength
Find anger and hatred and turn away
I contemplate the future
Wonder about the past
I am constantly thinking
Trying never to repeat mistakes
Nor allow myself to fall short of my own expectations
I press on and rise above weakness and despair
I allow myself to not stumble nor fall on my path through life
But if I do fall
If I am bludgeoned down
I rise up
I cannot fail
I won't allow myself to quit
For I am

Gave me goosebumps.
Truer words you've never written.
Highly inspirational... and incredible, for that matter.

I love you.
