Array ( [sid] => 10225 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Without You Here [time] => 2003-01-12 05:00:00 [hometext] => These are just some feelings I wrote about the father of my child. Someone who has not been apart of our lives for almost three years. For a while I use to think I hated him, for what he did. And that he was not apart of our lives, seeing that the whole mother experience was not something that I signed up to do myself. But as you get older, you learn to forgive. And I realized when I did that, it was not because I hated him that I could not forgive him. But because I still loved him.
Anyways~~maybe some people will find these words useful~maybe even interesting :P [bodytext] => A pretty woman,
A handsome man.
Remembering when ,
It was a simple plan.
You would ask me,
To hold you forever.
Leave your side,
I would never.
The perfect family,
We would create.
Be able to overcome,
Any debate.
Never to know,
What tomorrow would bring.
There would always be,
A precious song to sing.
No long walks,
hand in hand.
Across that beach,
Amongst the sand.
Just like old times,
when we were friends.
And promise to be,
together till' the end.
All those nights,
Secrets we'd share.
A few months later,
A child I would bare.
Now you are gone,
And we are alone.
I find myself,
holding the phone.
Only there is no number,
no call to make.
I use to wonder,
if it all were a mistake.
But I look at this girl,
and you're still here it seems.
I see memories,
I see dreams.
Even though apart
of our lives you are not.
There is something,
that has been taught.
Out of love,
comes beauty & grace.
And maybe no one,
can ever take your place.
But life goes on,
and we all grow old.
And this will not become,
a story that goes untold.
I use to have regrets,
and hold hate.
But realized it was not you,
it was fate.
I do forgive what you have,
and have not done.
And to let you know,
there'll always be a song to be sung.
Someday we will meet again,
And you will look in to her eyes.
There you'll have to answer her questions,
And own up to your lies.
It took a long time,
To get past all the hurt & tears.
But out of pain comes love,
In return it removes our fears.

I can't accurately describe how this poem made me feel. It was beautiful and sad... I enjoyed this a lot. In my few years (16) I have learned that forgiveness is the best healer and often times the only healer. Thank you for submitting this I enjoyed this unmeasurably.

I wish for you peace,
Bobo (Joel)

a great poem from a loving mom, a woman with a beautiful soul, and one who like me raises little ones as a single mom, only 'cause of the fact mine died.. however, i relate to your feelings and not seeing him who you have loved in your daughters eyes.. yes, truth in those eyes, a reason to go on, now after many many years i have someone who loves me true and i love him deeply.. you will have it all again my friend..
