Array ( [sid] => 102626 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => a soldiers daughter [time] => 2005-08-04 01:40:06 [hometext] => this is about my girlfriend i hope it dont affend anyone its just my at the moment thoughts [bodytext] => a soldiers daughter is the one that suffers
shes the one who cries at night soaking
her pillow gripping the covers. it cant be
fair it cant be right. for this father. never
should he leave his only daughter.
he is gone and she is in his heart
its the place for her in his special soldier
spot. he jokes to ease the pain get
rid of the tention get rid of the picture
in her head of her father at attention.
its a feeling i cant imagin that ill never
feel. theres nothing she can do her
father is the one that signed that deal.
so its the soldiers daughter that always
hurts. his jokes make her laugh cant make
her feel better it just doesnt work. so what
do you say to the daughter of a soldier
when she knows that this year he wont
watch her open presents and then he will
miss her turn older. how can she be so strong
when she knows her father will be away
for much to long. we think the soldiers
are the ones so brave and to admire.
when its her that lives with the thought
of her father in the open fire. why does
she push me away how can she keep it
to herself. is it because she is afraid
to give up all she has left. so when
you watch your tv and you see the slaughter
as you feel for the soldiers cry for his
daughter. its the way a of our nation
its just ***** up that to uncle sam
his only daughter is no relation!
forgive my words its just hard for me
to face im sorry i swore. it just hurts
so much i cant take his place his
spot in war. a happy home a family
of three. here with his daughter
wife and son is where he should be.
i only hope that this soldier the one
she calls father knows that i will
be here to hold and catch the tears
of his daddys daughter . it just gets
to me when she cries knowing theres
nothing i can do. so untill the pain
is gone from this soldiers daughter
i pray its my heart in her chest that
drowneds in her tears when she
crys for her father. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 235 [topic] => 23 [informant] => solosoul [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => FamilyPoems )

Buddy, this sits on the page like a stack of bricks. There's no way someone is going to enjoy reading it in this format. Less words! More space!

that was pretty awesome... the helplessness you feel really comes through... your words really show the horror of your girlfriends pain... keep writing, one day the war will end...
