Array ( [sid] => 102642 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Ninety Nine Goodbyes [time] => 2005-08-04 11:32:19 [hometext] => My mom ran away and said it was all my fault so I wrote this to make myself feel somewhat better. Hope it's a good read. [bodytext] => My soul shatters
Everytime you say goodbye
My heart wrenches and squeezes the air out of me
Goodbye counted to fifty
My soul leaves me faster than a dog chasing a cat
Goodbye dearest I won't show you the sadness
That eats away at my soul
I'm no longer the girl you wanted me to be
I count the goodbyes to sixty
Getting angry I slam the door
Tears cascade my face as my cheeks are smeared with blood
Two days gone I'm laying in bed
I count the goodbyes to sixty
Pity me so, dear and I'll count to eighty
Slam the door once again
This is starting to become repetitive
Fall on the bed and cry myself to sleep
I counted to seventy
You come waltzing back in
Saying you were sorry
Then finding that I've done wrong
I clasp my chest fighting the waves of panic
You look to me with angry red eyes
I count to eighty
Trying to explain the turn of events
Brush me off as if I were a mosquito
You grab your things still by the door
And slam the door with a goodbye still ringing in my ears
He said goodbye for the nintieth time
So I grabbed the only thing that would
Stop my soul from dying
I said goodbye
