meant to push
you
aside
You can run
but you can't hide
Emotions they burst
I have an unquenched thirst
Explosively intact
LIFE---my pen has tracked
The secrets, the lies
the hurts, sad goodbyes
Pen to paper
words shoot out like vapor
Our stories told
before the emotion goes cold
Read between the lines
where a poet's lingo defines
The feeling all yours
this ink restores
Rejuvenates
our words hydrate
Pain is passed
in ink spewing blasts
Emotions recorded
subjects assorted
Skeletons laid to rest
love and heartache confessed
Ashes to ashes
dust to dust
Creativity gnashes
words into lust
Dear poets; raise pen
praise ink---amen! [comments] => 24 [counter] => 568 [topic] => 69 [informant] => hauntedscorp [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 131 [ratings] => 27 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => poets )

*applauds* I love this!!! (you saw that coming, right???)

Well done, Scorpichachita!!!!! I love the way you set this one down! I've this crazy picture in my head of it sneaking up on you - you spinning around just at the right moment, tackling it, wielding a magic pen and forcing it into submission (on YPDC, that is *wink*). In other words --- Man, you got hold of this one!!!!

All fired up over this - lol, obviously,
~Snemmy

This is a humdinger :) of a poem! I love the title, and the uniqueness of the format and style. The poetic message is great..."praise ink ---amen!" I would say, praise the talent that directs that pen or flows through that pen.

Super dooper write, Scorp :)

Will

Ha! Excellently jovial! If I had a pen on me right now, I would hold it up and start doing a little jig...lol. Heck, I cant even raise my keyboard cause I'm using a laptop! Argh! But nevetheless, I love the spirited nature of the poem. It was just so....great! Light-hearted, but at the same time serious...lol you hit a point of such moderation that gave the poem an even greater level of quality. I have to say that I'm thoroughly impressed everytime I come visit your user page. The style of writing you have now is so far superior to your earlier writes, which were also amazing. Everything has since enhanced, and your subject matter seems to have extended as well. I think I'm babbling again...lol so I'll just say it's amazing and stop myself before I write a small novel lol.

I love your objective write here..

Sort of... gives the sense of loss of innocence, development of mature feelings with the reality of having an independent mind.. reaching out.. tattling on ourselves to the world.

*****Our stories told
before the emotion goes cold

Read between the lines
where a poet's lingo defines
The feeling all yours
this ink restores
Rejuvenates
our words hydrate

*****Emotions recorded

*****praise ink---amen!

Now keep writing everyone.. The counseling pen is within our reach.. to avoid rash actions, or merely to express love in many forms.

This poem in itself, teaches and excites the senses for any writer.. full of truth all the way.. Very powerful write..
