Why do I sit here and cry
Sitting here right at your feet
Is it you I really greet?

What is that you say to me?
You wish all our spirits free
Not a world of hate and greed
All the hungry we should feed

I have wondered for so long
Why you so allow the wrong
Let the evil doers thrive
Hate and greed their only drive

What is that you say to me?
Religion is what holds the key
Evil in a sweet disguise
Why do I look so surprised?

Religion hides enourmous sin
Glory there for all to win
what a lie they have to give
We should die, so they can live

What is there to do or say?
Will it help us if we pray?
Or is it to no avail
Are we doomed to ever fail

What is that you say to me?
FAITH!!! is what will set us free
FAITH!!! is what will save us all
FAITH!!! of Master over all

No more fighting, no more war
Beat the devil at the core
Fight with FAITH, the only way
YES! I hear now, what you say

Yes, faith, not religion will save this world and the good people in it. Even as hard as life seems sometimes, our faith can pull us through the hardest times. I have a friend that was abused for 10 yrs by her father, but her faith kept her alive. I truly believe our faith can overcome many many hardships and much pain. It has for me. Brilliant write.

Smiles,
Rita
