Array ( [sid] => 103419 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Whispering Winds [time] => 2005-08-13 17:30:48 [hometext] => The wind can make you forget things. It carresses you, makes you feel loved. If only the wind could be seen, take a shape. i wonder what it would choose. [bodytext] => The wind whispered to me.
It told me you were wrong.
It wrapped itself around me.
And showered me with warmth.

It didn’t make me forget,
But it dulled the pain.
The worry drifted away.
With the wind that brought me peace.

It visited me often,
Tearing away the song.
The bird sang it so many times.
Infuriating cry.

The bird stopped singing,
And the wind howled clearly.
But all was not forgotten,
I still remember the song.

Although it changed every time,
The song was always sung.
And every time I pretended,
That it was truly real.

My nerve, grew stronger,
And the wind visited more.
Out of routine, or habit,
It brought back memories.

Save me from the wind.
It turned me against you.
Sacrifice your honor,
Remember me fondly.

Save me from the darkness,
That pulls me under.
Or I shall drown,
In the dark waters.

I need you to rescue me,
I need you more than ever.
But I shall shed no tears,
If you do not come.

But I will remember,
When the time comes.
And you shall ask me for help.
And sorrowfully, I must decline.

I do feel comforted by the wind emotionally. I never really realized that until I read this. I love this poem. It's sad because people do abandon you at the worst times and then you have nothing to justify being there for them when they need you. It's sad to have to turn your back on someone but you do have to recognize when a friendship is far too one sided.
