Array ( [sid] => 103636 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Night Shade [time] => 2005-08-16 10:16:32 [hometext] => This poem conveys how I felt one night whilst driving home at 3am through a dry fog. It was so quiet and peaceful. I felt liberated, but I knew deep down that the human rush would destroy this moment come morning-time. [bodytext] => The sun is gone, blackness now bought the space for a single night's stay,
that journey was short-lived, no less amazing in its tranquility,
I resumed it upon reaching my resting place -

Here I sit on the dark grass, it is cool but warm,
looking above is the black sheet dotted with pinholes,
the light of its majesty shining through, not alone in this paradise.
lying back is comfort under this low tree,
silence, but for a small bell chiming far in the horizon,
hearlding the presence of a godlike peace as
a spectral layer of mist decends onto the land.
it blankets me from my inhibitions as i touch the face of euphoria
for a slow 30secconds - accepted for what I was bourne to be.

Time is standing still, but for long more not,
before the drones scramble to produce the sacred slime,
killer smoke and unnecessary sound.
disregard wakes and straddels its throne once again
stabbing into the cortex of euphony, preceding death.
all is not lost, nightshade having greeted the creator
and recieving immortality only to come again in space of twelve.
I won't return for some time, but this peace is solid,
impermeable to the uncouth claw of the human machine.
a brief moment of solidarity isn't insignificant to
a being deprived of emotional nourishment,
but it is nothing to the creatures already stuffed to the full
of the artificial excretion.

outstanding imagery, it was easy to be there and see, feel, and taste the short-lived magical moments of night. I loved it.

So many people are consumed with the rush of our every day lives, I see is daily around me. I have merely one clock in the house, which is me alarm clock...ohh and the puter clock but that one is off anyhow....lol....I cant live by time and having to rush. Luckely I have a job where I dont really need to watch time n all..I know most do.....

Lovely written!

Huggssss,
