As I look at the destruction that litters the skies,
I see the hope and fear reside in your soft eyes,
In the strands of your hair, stains of blood from the ages,
As the shadows of the past are trapped in small cages,

You know me better than I ever can discover,
Your bond with me is shared by no other,
Can we now repress the past and look on instead?
Through the darkness and the mist we must push ahead,

You know we can heal; we can repair once more,
Shielded from the pain, protected by a closed door,
We both indeed realise the crimes of our lives,
An open fate is what the dark lord reprives,

Knowing and seeing are of different contingents,
My twisted emotions run free with gross impertinence,
Lives affected by the hammer of corrupt justice,
United once more under stars of bliss,

When we are struck, do we not heal?
When we are rejected are we not supposed to feel?
In the shadows and dark corners we turn to rust,
Because these lost one, are the plagues of us.

This one fascinated me. I am not sure if it was intended to, but it made me sad.
