Such news I received
Days weeks and months went by
Pain was getting to the point where is was unbearable
So many tears reached the floor
I watched as you slowly slipped from my grasp
When I was young I lied next to you and I listened to you breath
I watched your chest rise and sink
I held your warm hand which was twined in mine
Now I lay next to you I cant hear you breathe
Your chest still
Your hand cold
I try and wake you and tell u to breath
You wont move
I rub your hand to make it warm but it stays as
Cold as ice
I whisper to you
MUM PLEASE DONT LEAVE ME I NEED YOU
But maybe it was time for you to leave as you fought from so
Many months and years
Take a penny on your way and enter the gates of heaven
~~~REST IN PEACE MUM~~~
~~~I LOVE YOU~~~

| I am sorry for your loss. I would not know what to do if this happened to me. I think that the poem itself needs a little finishing touch though. All in all well felt. |
