It was a very smart thing to do.
My shoes would always come untied and I'd trip on the lace.
I darn nearly fell flat on my face.

Falling down doesn't make a guy feel very macho.
I saved my dignity with shoes with velcro.
Velcro fixed this problem of mine.
For twenty-one years everything has been fine. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 236 [topic] => 7 [informant] => randyjohnson [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 6 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => HumorPoetry )

Personally, I love velcro. Especially on my sandals and on my grandsons shoes who never will stay tied. Saves a lot of time and scrapes from falling face first over your laces. Imaginative write.

Smiles (not tripping)
Rita

Took me back in '84, when I had a thing for velcro shoes. Love the works which brings memories and smiles.
