The options are too numerous and diverse
Latitude, longitude, which direction is relevant
Do you trust your instincts
Or is the task to cognitively think

Perhaps making the choices goes ok
It's living with the ramifications that get in the way
It's possible I'm searching for guarantees
My better side tells me there aren't any
Does that mean I must risk deliberately

Should I really struggle for any change
Or just be cautious, and remain the same
But as you so shrewdly point out
I loose any chance of winning if I drop out
It's pretty scary to take the leap

As painful as the loss might be
Knowing your limitations helps you to be fee
Better to have tried and failed, then not ventured at all
A little confusion isn't the end of the world

Which way to turn seems impossible to discern
The options are too numerous and diverse

Typically Terry, I believe it to be guaranteed that the more you do something ... the longer you do something ... the better at it you become. Practice makes perfect ... try tackling things in baby steps ( ? ) get a little further each time ... and pretty soon that new idea will seem less formidable. That is just my opinion though. I like the way you present this all too familiar conflict of chance and change.

Reminds me of a poem I've written. tis somewhat similiar.

So I can relate to your feelings of uncertainty and doubt and you portrayed these very well.

And your quite right at the end, its not the "end of the world". We must move on and take risks.

I do certainly agree. it is better to try athan not try at all.who knows things happen for reasons. Do not ever think you havent tried, maybe it wasnt what ya wanted or needed, but sure it will happen , eventually.! Good post
