I am a prisoner in my own mind
Held captive, in a room without a view
Darkness is all that I see
Mingled with scattered thoughts of you

I toss and I turn in the bed
Plagued by demons past and future
Screaming to be rescued from this fate
Or a window of hope to shine through

A shred of light to guide me
To wake me from this torturous place
Freeing me from this dark labyrinth
Where all paths lead to your embrace

Skin crawling on the outside
Struggling to get away on the inside
Bound by the shadows, bound by fear
The nightmare and reality collide

The Reality

I am a prisoner in my own mind
Held captive, in a room with no view
Hand over my mouth as I gasp to breathe
My worst nightmare now coming true

I toss and turn in the bed
Plagued by the stench of your breath
Screaming to be rescued from this fate
A fate, far far worse than death

Skin crawling on the outside
My innocence flowing from inside
Struggling to get away but my hands tied
Helpless I laid there and just cried

Still praying for someone to free me
To save me from this dark awful place
A prisoner forever in my own mind
Enslaved by images no one can erase

Well, I'm glad this isn't about you. This write is very deep , and dark and told so gut-wrenchingly real! True or not, clearly alot of emotion is behind this write, and was poured into it. I like the style and concept you used as well. The 'story' of both the nightmare, and the reality. Excellent job with this one Blue...truly a 'reach out and grab you' type write.

Scorp.

As I read Blue..
further and further down the page,
I felt alone..it brought back many bad..very bad feelings for me..

I myself, felt alone in this..'till I realized it wasn't you-
I literaly, took a deep breath..and felt ok-
'till I realized the pain overall..

Thoughts and Prayers to them..

(It's so good to finally see you again Blue)

Yours-

Billy

Very profound and intense write. The verse and imagery is very powerful. This is very well written, and certainly captures and depicts deep and heartfelt despiration.

I'm glad it's not you, but sad if it is somebody.

Well done,

Will

I like the reality/nightmare thing you did here, and the poem seemed to flow emotionally and stylistically. This seems like a cathartic write, and I'm not sure how true it is, but it was written very well nevertheless. The way you conveyed these feelings was excellent. Great work
