The day is in shadows
Dark and still
My soul falling into misery
Hold my breath
And close my eyes
Against the approaching doom
Walking down the hall
Tears are threatening to fall
Standing in the doorway
A vision of love in all black
My heart shattering
My eyes brimmed with unseen want
Sparing a glance and a nod
Walks on by
Unaware of the damage he caused
A smile hides my pain
The love and want masked by a grin
No one knows
Im not ready
But I think he knows
Hes changed so much
Avoiding greeting
Expertly missing my glance
Tears fall onto the sink
As I cry alone in the bathroom
Fear of rejection
And a friendship gone amiss
In every drop of liquid soreness
My heart aches for his love
My soul reaches for his dark heart
But all that I manage to get
Is a weak greeting and a short conversation
What is it with one-sided love?
Why is it I am never able to find that one guy
That wants to be mine?
I havent felt love from someone for three years
I want someone to love me
To hold me
To press his sweet lips against mine
What should I do?
I want him badly
And am willing to do anything
But Im at the bottom of the well
And the only way up isnt there for me
I reach out to him
But he just stares
Oh, A life without his love
Isnt such a life
