Array ( [sid] => 105565 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => “The Dharma of Star Wars” – Lesson One [time] => 2005-09-12 19:41:58 [hometext] => Just part of a series of poems I plan on creating that illustrates the point of the Force. It's in a book called 'The Dharma of Star Wars' by Matthew Bortolin. It is similar to Buddhism in a way. [bodytext] => I’m learning how to cure my internal suffering from a book called ‘The Dharma of Star Wars.’
I am simply sharing what I’ve learned in my own words.
The suffering can be both internal and external.
Mental pain and physical pain.
I’m learning to accept the fact that I’m human.
I am not perfect.
I am me.
I have feelings.
And so do all other humans.
We just need to embrace our fears, anger, grief, sadness, anguish, etc…
We need to look inside ourselves to find the source of our suffering.
No one is at fault for another’s suffering.
It is their MIND that is contaminated with impure thoughts.
The whole Force thing really exists.
Even though we may not see it, all species on this green Earth have co-existed in harmony.
We may kill on a regular basis, but it is our duty to forgive those who try to make others suffer, because they suffer themselves.
Suffering is a part of Life as are the natural phenomenons of Birth and Death.
We need to not suppress our emotions.
We need to acknowledge and recognize that we feel a certain way.
We need to recognize that we are suffering, identify the emotion, stop, breathe, think, and know that we are human and that being angry, frustrated, sad, anxious, or scared, etc…is okay.
Hate, on the other hand, is not okay.
Hate no one, love everyone, love yourself. We need to love ourselves as well as others.
For only when we learn to love ourselves can we truly understand and transform ourselves, embrace reality, and make our way toward the first stretches on the path to true happiness.
The other parts that lead to happiness I can only guess.
Like I said before, humans and the environment coexist in a symbiotic relationship.
Knowing that, we must strive to continue to keep life on this planet.
Since people cut down our oxygen supply, we need to undo what we have done.
There is still much to be learnt.
Don’t dwell on the past, for it is gone. Don’t worry about the future, for it is not yet here.
Be mindful of and concentrate on the here, the now.
What is done, is done. What may be, may be. But concentrate. Every thought must be on the here and now.
People make mistakes and they suffer for it. It’s okay to make mistakes.
Just try not to make the same mistakes over and over again.
Hopefully, people will learn from their mistakes. Seeing what doesn’t work, and eventually seeing was DOES work.
All of what I have said is part of the ways of knowing the Force. This one thing that unifies all living things.
Be mindful of the living Force and all shall be right.
Nature, in all its beauty, is bound with us by the Force.
Simultaneously, when everyone is unique, we are the same. I think some people don’t see that or don’t want to see that.
Anyroad, winding down, I’d just like to say that after I finish the book, I may keep it around as a reference. Like a Bible.
I’m beginning to feel better.
I like that something as simple as a book can change one’s whole outlook on things. It’s great.
