It doesn't seem to matter.
You've built up walls of Pain and Pride
No weapon known can shatter.

I never meant to cause you pain
I never wished to steal
That which gave you any joy,
that which made you feel.

Now I sit confused and shunned
Can this ever mend?
This Sin committed was so small
And now it seems the end.

I was no threat and still am not,
Of this I wish you'd see.
For all this anger, all this grief,
It does not need to be.

Come back, my friend, with open arms
Know you're loved and well.
For life without you breaks my heart
This truth I had to tell. [comments] => 13 [counter] => 338 [topic] => 50 [informant] => Loende [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 20 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => ApologyPoetry )

Nice poem-
Friendship as well as love can cast shadows upon the heart and cause the soul to cry-
I hope things work out for you as I have
(been there and done that)
and it weighs heavy on my heart always...
Joe

A lot of heart in this, methinks. The struggling reason and pained humility, will I hope very muchly be rewarded with reconciliation.

Blessings, mo chara.
