He cradles me for an instant
and then I am lost
lost within him,
his ambitions,
his lust
everything that defines his sole being
which I crave to impress
so that for one moment I can be happy
but then the moment ends and
I am forced
to stay here
where the light
refuses to shine
and hell beckons me
over with one finger
outstreched and the
other pursed at
its lips,
skeletal and poised with death
from cold unrelenting
anger built up inside
from the hate he has,
that somehow is
reflected
through me
