~~~~~
I sat on the roof
To catch my breath
To enjoy the air
To finally rest
It’s the only place
I can not be found
Peaceful and secluded
No one around
What a feeling
To be up so high
That I almost feel
I can touch the sky
No one can harm me
No one can bring me down
Where silence
Is the only sound
Late at night
When it’s time to go
When tiredness
Is starting to show
I’ll leave this place
I’ve come to love
My little haven
Oh how I do love James Taylor. He is the only one I have ever braved a concert for. His lyrics are for the common everyday person and the music always touches my soul. I just like him as an artist and admire him greatly as a person. You have good taste, my man! lol
This is very good. It reminds me of sitting up on a great hill looking down over the valleys as the sun rises overhead.
