Deeply in love, or completely heartbroken
Up until this morning
All of a sudden it was emptiness
I try and feel, but no response
I almost want the heartbreak
At least it felt real
I’m scared
What if I never get those feelings back?
They were mine, they were a part of me
They can’t just leave without me telling them to
I want to love him still, even if we aren’t together
Then I had something strong burning inside
Even though it was filled with regret, and sadness
I can’t even sense the smouldering of old ashes
Its like they were never there
I’m afraid to assume that this means a part of me has truly died

Don't worry, a lot of people can relate, one day you'll find that perfect person, and you'll look back, and wonder why you ever doubted you wouldn't. Good luck, great write.
