[title] => I Saw a Sparrow Hawk Kill a Robin Today
[time] => 2005-10-20 07:56:21
[hometext] => At the time I wrote this poem, I was experiencing divorce with my children. The marriage was dead. I was comfortable being the robin, even to the point of being killed...but, being a sparrow hawk???
[bodytext] => I Saw A Sparrow Hawk Kill a Robin Today I saw a sparrow hawk kill a robin today, right outside my window... It seemed something was being said, but, I am uncertain what it was... I was stunned... It frightened me... I could have run outside, chased the hawk away, the robin may have survived... But, it all seemed wrong. The killing and the saving, both seemed wrong. When wrong seems right, and right seems wrong, and intellect cannot discern the two, the heart is inconsolable, the soul and spirit stand immobilized, all seems odd, difficult, and paralyzing. It seems there is a sparrow hawk in all of us... But, there is a robin in all of us, too. I watched a sparrow hawk kill a robin this year, right inside my window.
