[hometext] => This Poem is about my grandma. She died a while ago. But before she died she lived in Arkansas where she claimed she saw an ivory billed wood pecker. Of course no one believed her because they were extinct. Now we know that that is not true.
[bodytext] => The air is clear A slight breeze fills the woods The cry of a wood pecker echos across the peacefull forest It sets a beat with its timless drumming Beat Beat Beat A streak of red flashes The bird swoops low It settles on a lone branch It holds itself with a commanding air For it knows it is the king From the sharp white bill a burst of refreshed noise fills the air The red crest rises in curiositiy Graceful Powerful It lifts off Shiny black Stark white Blood red It knows it is the king Gliding gently through the woods never hesitating A beautifil sight of love and wonder Oh what a sight Flying through the air A sight to break the hardest heart He knows he is the king [comments] => 0 [counter] => 199 [topic] => 73 [informant] => snekeroom_vfd [notes] => Edited for Spelling as Requested by Moderator_15 [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => abstract )
