Array ( [sid] => 108581 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Forgiven but not forgotten [time] => 2005-10-27 16:29:11 [hometext] => This isn't a very good poem, sort've just something I wrote when I was feeling down. It's a non-fictional poem that reflects my real life, and certain decisions I have made, and later regretted. [bodytext] => Uneasiness felt from his touch,
indecision from simply a glance,
yet whenever his presence was gone,
her heart didn't stand a chance.

Confusion on who she really was,
mixed thoughts on what she wanted,
played endlessly in her mind,
her future possibilities taunted.

She was unsure if she loved him,
so she left to try it on her own,
soon after discovering no laughter or cheer,
and a personality cold as stone.

Replacing him was her mission,
one that seemed so easy to do,
but no one could match those blue eyes,
no one could love her as true.

She spent her days longing,
and dreaming of having him back,
but when she proposed such an idea,
her plans were thrown off track.

His heart had found new love,
a woman of certainty and grace,
someone who would never betray him,
to cause a scorn to his face.

Her heart took this as surprise,
she'd learned her lesson too late,
if only she'd known from the start,
she had controlled her own fate.

It may be a little less graceful than you'd like or something, but I really liked this poem. It's a good read and a cool insight, actually.

Love and peace,

Chelsea
