my dearest friend,
please know that you are in my heart and in my dreams
i know you are there yet i cannot reach you
swallowed by the world
we are separated by the shadows of the day
i see you walking, see you smiling
but yet those smiles are not for me
strangers we have become and strangers we shall stay,
the days of childhood laughter is gone
filled by the emptyness and void of this new day
i called you my best friend,
and yet youve left my side
we used to be so close and tight
yet we've thrown that all away
your presence still it haunts me
with the memories i shall keep
i thought this was forever
but too soon forever came
was it your fault or was it mine
our luck has run out and time has slipped away
RIP my best friend,
your presence shall never be forgotten
