i feel the tap of deaths grip feeling my world do a slip
tasting dirt from falling hard never new to watch my guard
dead flowers and rusty love waiting for a sign above

tinsel folly and mistletoe kisses this is the season for holiday wishes
snow flakes fall snow men grow all in a winter nights glow
but homeless die and suicide rises all in the name of christmas surprises
people get drunk to forget all there cares end up in silly affairs

children they scream as the parents they dream of the burden leaving home
accepting love by the size of the gift never getting the love that they wish
office parties and blooming affection shows as the season starts to show
this is a strange poem with out meaning i hope you understand what i am seeing

Very nice write.
I get the meaning! The way i portray it is that the holidays are suppose to be filled with love and "surprises" but all around the world there are people who dont have the chance to feel loved by someone. and that there is still suffering. Am i correct? all in all, Great write... press the 5 on the scale!!
GOdbless you
BEBE

Yes, perhaps the ones who celebrate are believers.

accepting love by the size of the gift never getting the love that they wish

I have taught my sons and my grandkids, the true meaning of Christmas, and to open up their hearts to find the biggest gift of all.

Thank you for sending out this message, meaningless to those who do not accept truths, those hearts that can hear and see are blessed. I pray for those in need at Christmas time and all times forever and ever, amen..

this is a good write, took a few reads for me to understand but finally got there. people seem to take so much for granted these days that they seem to have forgotten all about kindness and decency which is what christmas is supposed to be all about. i've posted a poem about this before on ypdc it's titled decline. anyway good write again
