seatbelts unfastened in my blink
eyes open-still blind

love is the hourglass of honesty

rough hands to hold and demand
what night will withstand ?
the memories

love is the hourglass of brutality

endure what becomes of me
i tell myself
you decide who you are
where you fall
and how damn far

love is the hourglass of determination

how quickly have i come
to lay it all down
how soft do i seap into you?
too gently

love is the hourglass of desperation

there is nothing but this moment
and the plague of your touch
the incessant battles
and rivalry
forget it
just forget it

love is the hourglass of inevitablility

now lock your doors
roll those windows up tight
drive "home"
take heed of tonight

love is the hourglass of finality

shattered reflection
we have been a long time in meeting
the face-so ready-
for the words

love is the hourglass of inspiration

you never taught me love
heretic!

by error
through the many faces
through the many hourglasses
filled and emptied
i now see

love is: HONESTY, BRUTALITY, DETERMINATION, DESPERATION, INEVITABLITY, FINALITY AND INSPIRATION. yes it can be an hourglass.because with time, things grow........then narrow(which could be, un-or not blossoming) then back to the full effect. Very substance write.
